Count on losing about a week of the 60 days to the mail. ### What to do first Ask for a return authorization (RMA) through the support address on the order page before you send anything back. The policy requires one before any return. ### What goes back All the bottles, opened or not. On an approved return the seller pays to ship them back, though the policy warns that "certain shipping fees may be non-refundable". ## The order page vs. what you can check The page says What you can actually check "High-quality, science-backed ingredients" The page cites no study at all. Made in an FDA-registered facility Registration isn't approval. ## Who should buy it, and who shouldn't ### Worth a look if You live in the US, your blood sugar is in the normal range, your doctor knows about it, and you want a label that shows at least part of its work. ### Skip it if You take insulin or another blood sugar medication and haven't asked your doctor, you're pregnant or nursing (NCCIH says berberine shouldn't be used then), you have liver disease (cassia cinnamon), or you want a longer refund window. ## Side effects and medication cautions Six ingredients in this capsule are ones sold for blood sugar: berberine, chromium, cinnamon, bitter melon, gymnema and banaba. That's the longest list on any label we've read, and it matters most if you already take something for your blood sugar. The NIH's complementary health center (NCCIH) says berberine "may interact with some medicines", that people who take medicines should talk with their health care providers before using it, and that it "should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding". Its common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, bloating and constipation. For chromium, NCCIH notes stomach pain and bloating, with a few reports of kidney and liver damage after large doses. Cassia cinnamon contains coumarin, which "might cause or worsen liver disease". And NCCIH warns that herbal supplements used with conventional diabetes drugs "can cause unwanted side effects".
